My Place to Breathe

A place to relax and enjoy my paper crafts. A stamp I saw says, "I want to make pretty things even if nobody cares." This is my place to chronicle them!

Christmas Configuration Box

It only took me 6+ years to do this project! I first saw this on Vicky's blog, Clips-n-Cuts when it first came out in December of  2015.  She is an amazing artist and crafter. I am too scared to dab it with white paint to resemble "snow",  as Vicky did. Maybe I will get brave before Christmas. Many items here were taken from her instructions. What I love about this project is there are so many things to look at. Hoping my grandchildren will enjoy it this Christmas.

Charlie and Paulchen Dies from Germany

First cards for 2018 Christmas. Used the German dies from the company Charlie and Paulchen. They have beautiful dies, paper, stamps, etc. The cost of shipping from Germany is not bad at all and you receive them in a timely manner. I really like this company.

Fun with Alcohol Ink

Week 7 of Creative Chemistry and Day 17 of the Daily Marker 30-day Challenge.

These backgrounds were created using Ranger Alcohols Inks. The pictures don't do it justice but. they kind of look like holograms.
I am still loving this little guy by Impression Obsession - Feathery Owl. I used My Favorite Things Hybrid Black Ink to stamp the image. The sentiment is Thinking of You by Altenew; a wonderful set.

And this cute guy is by PaperArtsy, JOFY42. After I stamped the image I used my copics to color him in.

Christmas in July & Day 20 Coloring Challenge

Never too early to start Christmas cards. This was inspired by Tim Holtz's tag in Creative Chem 102. I stamped the image using Arcival Ink onto TH Watercolor paper. The image was watercolored using Distress Reinkers and water brushes.
Tinsel and paper are Tim Holtz

Real Life is Messy

I resemble that title!
I have definitely experienced it recently. But it is in the messiness of my life that My Father shines through.

I had so much fun completing this project. I think I am finally soaking in what Tim Holtz has been teaching. It took me a while though.
The focal point of this project is the colored, crackled letters. Of course in my "messy" life, I had no "f", so I stamped and embossed one. That works.

Also Used:
Tim Holtz Life's Possibilities stamps, Melange Tissue Paper, Vintage Photo Distress Ink,
Fired Brick Spiced Marmalade and Wild Honey Distress Paint, Blending Tools
MultiMedia Matt, Clear Rock Candy Crackle Paint, brush
Prima Press
White Gel Pen

I love this little owl! Finally found the perfect project for him.

The background was created using glossy card stock and 3 shades of brown alcohol ink to create an ombre effect. The stamp is Feathery Owl by Impression Obsession stamps. The sentiment is from Thinking of You by Altenew.
